Freesat is the product of the collaboration between ITV and BBC to deliver high-quality digital TV channels to users across the UK and Ireland for free. Freesat boxes come pre-programmed with a designated number of TV and radio channels. The channel list is automatically updated with each box carrying a full electronic program guide. Freesat boxes also have full-recording functionality for recording every program. Saorview and Freesat are different from each other and are operated by two digital providers that are independent of each other. While Saorview is a service by the Ireland National Digital Services, Freesat is from the UK National digital service. However, Mc Crohan Satellite Systems can supply both Saorview & Freesat satellite systems.
